Created over the past two years, the project finds frontwoman Florence Welch in collaboration with a constellation of recent creative partners, including Mark Bowen (Idles), Aaron Dessner (The National), Mitski, and contributors such as producer James Ford, multi-instrumentalist James McAlister, and woodwind player Stuart Bogie.
The album is deeply rooted in witchcraft and mysticism, and from the earliest cryptic teasers (Welch in a red dress digging and screaming into the earth) it is evident, that this new era will be yet another evocatively atmospheric one.
